Several days ago I was updating my facebook account and looking through some of my friends updates. I came across one of my friend's notes. Francis Kong, a famous writer and speaker in our country, has this blog entitle INSPIRING EXCELLENCE. I read some of his posts and it's indeed inspiring so I thought of sharing it with you. It's a blessing to read a piece that helps you come up higher rather than pull you down... Do share his site with your friends and I truly hope it'll inspire you too :o)

Here are some thoughts I borrowed from his writing:

Depression is a killer and if you don’t have a personal toolbox that contains depression busters then you may just add one more problem to the many you already have...Remember this: If you do not want to hit bottom-stop digging the hole.- 12 Ways to Fight Depression

Somebody says, this is the recorded message in one of the answering machines he heard:
Hi! This is John. If you are the telephone company I already sent the money. If you are my parents please send me more money. If you are my friends you owe me money but if you are a female… don’t worry… I’ve got lots of money!”... Technology may have made us more efficient yet it has isolated us from human interaction as well.
- The Human Touch

A person is truly great when he is not envious of his rival’s success. And don’t forget, stop envying the man who has everything. That man probably has ulcers too. - Everybody Loves A Winner… Or Do They Really?

Santa in China!!!

Last Saturday we went to Walmart (yep, we have it here in China) and we were so happy to find Santa dancing :o) So I immediately told my baby to hold Santa's hand... I remember last year Christmas decors weren't up not until almost the 20th of December and there was no moving St. Nick. But now it's earlier and with Santa dancing, EJ was so amazed...not to metion I was more amazed! hihi... Somehow China's beginning to relate to the Christmas celebration - in terms of the occasion that is, but not the reason for this season - which is Christ's birth. But someday, I'm sure they will understand the real reason for this season :o)

Merry Christmas to you :o) From China with love...

Looking for an Ecard?

I'd like to thank French Fancy for this website that she posted in her blog. Really cool! It's Jacquie Lawson's animated ecards all year round! Visit this site, click on the card you like then click "Preview this Card".

Click on the picture and see what I'm talking about... It'll only take a few seconds to load and a few seconds to view so no hassles, click away!

Last Dec. 10, yours truly turned a year older - yep, I'm 31 :o) I cooked spaghetti and prepared ice box cake. Mu husband bought 2 small cakes (can u see them? too small huh!) with those teenie weenie candles too that says 31 (yes, that's how you're supposed to read those candles!) Imee bought the Sprite and the oranges... And oh, I'm wearing Cathy and Jon's gift - i love purple! Other stuffs on the table are just add ons to make it look "full" (wink)

They were singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU and it made me very excited so I clapped my hands and had that ALL OUT SMILES!

We had our family picture...Yes, this is our family here in China. We managed to stick together and be there for each other in good times and bad... Cindy girl, we miss you here!!! Don't worry, you'll have your share of treat this weekend :o)
My 2 loves gave me their kisses...i love this shot!

EJ and I blew my tiny candles...and off we ate all we can.

We ended the night with this "showing off my tummy" pose... Baby is 18 weeks so here's how we both look :o)

Before I end this blog, for the record, my day wasn't perfect... My husband came home at 9pm because he needed to stay at work to finish a deadline so the rest of us had to eat our partial dinner while waiting for him because we were all starving, EJ accidentally hit my cheekbone with his head (oh my it hurt and it made me weep like a child!!!) but in spite that, I made a choice not to allow anything to rob my joy. So we had those photos up there :o)

Life is simple... Birthdays need not be expensive nor perfect. As long as you have special people to celebrate it with, that for me is a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Heard of Santa Cops?

Here's an interesting post I read from poshpost:
"The Santa Cops of the Philippines...But aside from thwarting criminal activity, the Santa Cops also help people, such as helping this old lady cross the street. They also give out candies to children. And sometimes, those in complete Santa costume, take time out to have a picture taking with interested kids." Read More

Yes it is Christmas and the initiative sounds good but I wonder if the other parts of the World do let their cops wear this Santa costumes too... Or this is one of those moments we can say ONLY IN THE PHILIPPINES? If yes, is this something we can be proud of as Filipinos?

Ever Wondered What's Behind Hollywood Studio Logos?

I'd like to thank my friend Darknite for bringing to my knowledge this very interesting website... I really like it mainly because I'm one of those who wants to understand why things are the way they are and what brought them into existence.

I'm talking about the stories behind Hollywood studio logos featured in NEATORAMA. Here are a few of the stories I've read:

Who is the boy on the moon in the DreamWorks logo? What does SKG stand for? Hmmm...

The boy's name is William Hunt, son of Robert Hunt. SKG stands for Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and David Geffen... Read More...

How many lions have been playing the role of "Leo The Lion" in the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM)? And why put a lion and not giraffe or zebra or a hipo? :o)

There have been five lions playing the role of "Leo The Lion". It's based on the athletic team of studio publicist Howard Dietz's alma mater Columbia University, the Lions. Read More...

There are 4 more logo stories in NEATORAMA so click on the link and read on... It's interesting to find out what we see in the opening part of the movies we're watching.

Know anymore sites like the one featured here? Let me know and get it featured here... :o)

Like Watching / Downloading Movies for FREE?

The other day I was browsing through some posts of those who follow the shewritesyouwrite blog and I found Random Finds. This blog featured a very nice website Graboid - a place where you can watch over 150,000 movies online or download them for FREE!!!

Here's how:

1. go to

2. download the Graboid application...takes about 2 minutes with a broadband connection. Once the software is downloaded – install it, launch, and click on New Account to register.

"When you enter Graboid, you will automatically see the most popular videos according to our users. You will have immediate access to over 150,000 movies and tv episodes. Browse our extensive collection to find videos that interest you. You can instantly watch movies online or download movies to watch or burn to dvd later." - graboid

3. search for the movie or tv series you've been dying too see! graboid is so easy to use, user friendly I should say.

We actually just finished with The Unit Season 4 episode 10. My husband and I enjoy watching that series but we just used to rely on DVDs and if not for graboid, we would have to wait for so long! Again, thanks to Random Finds I learned about graboid.

There are other sites suggested by 2 friends of Random Finds :
1. - from Tenzing S.
2. - from Richard Hartman

I haven't tried these 2 sites yet but I will in a few days. :o)

Got websites similar to the ones listed here? Me and my friends will surely try it out! and THANK YOU for it :o)

I saw poshpost's blog and thought a 3-column template would be great so I asked her how it's done. She then sent me a link to Webtalks where I was able to download for FREE the 3-column template... yep's FREE! You have several choices and they're really nice! After following the instructions, you can visit The Cutest Blog on the Block to look for the perfect background for you blog! Really cool and I enjoyed doing it.

However, just a word of caution... If you are changing from a 2-column template to a 3-column, make sure you back up your widgets. But if it's a new one like this blog, then you don't have to worry...

Got anymore template website suggestions? If you used the sites i suggested, how did you find it? Do let us know...

Just Keep Moving

Most of the time we lose because we think we are losers... We don't succeed because our thinking limits ourselves from being one. We often see our weaknesses and not our strenghts. We underestimate what we can do... But there are people who believes in us. People who sees us to be their leaders and they count on us. And if we quit, they'll do the same.

We can't give up... Not now. Not ever... Just Keep Moving until your last breath...

Found this inspiring video on
the author writes:

"This Video, which was taken from the movie, Facing The Giants is one of the most inspiring video excepts I have have ever seen.."

Had there been a time in your life where you thought of quitting but did not?

I decided to have this blog because I want an avenue where I can just post anything without having to categorize them. It's like an anything goes kind of blog :o)

So like me, I'm sure you too need something to share... so feel free... at the end of my post, i'll have questions. Write Something ok?

And of course, everything in the spirit of friendly environment where we don't use profane languages :-)

So thanks for dropping by... See you around!
